Storehouse Ministries Inc. has a long term goal of providing a transitional housing program for youth that have aged out of foster care and are no homeless.
This housing program will provide room and board, job training, community service, one-on-one counseling, and group counseling designed to prepare each participant with the opportunity to enter into self-dependence. It is designed to prepare each person to be productive and independent individuals.
Currently, we are providing help for those with food insecurities and we also provide gently used clothing, housing resources and immediate need backpacks filled with daily grooming essentials and socks.
Storehouse Ministries Inc. has partnered with Food Donation Connection. Food Donation Connection has assisted food service companies with the development and implementation of Harvest Programs designed to provide an alternative to discarding surplus food.
Currently, we are partnered with Starbucks located on Battle Hill Dr. and N. Robinson St. to provide meals to the homeless individuals and families in need.
Other Future Goals:
The Refreshing Center. This center will allow homeless and hungry individuals to take a shower, wash clothes and get a meal. At the Refreshing Center individuals will be able to talk to a counselors, heath care workers and other community partners in order to provide necessary services to get the back on their feet.
The Back on Track is a job training and financial literacy program that will offer the much needed services for individuals to become self sufficient.
